mixed numeral

Let us learn about mixed numeral

Mixed numeral is a number represented by a whole number & a mixed fraction, i.e. 1 1/2

Numbers that are represented by a whole number and a fractional number are known as mixed numerals

If numerator is always greater than denominator then this kind of fraction is called as improper fraction the improper fraction in standard form is called as mixed numeral.

A mixed number consists of

  • an integer
  • Proper fraction.

= a b/c

a is the integer

b is the proper fraction

limits and continuity

Let us learn about limits and continuity

Left Hand Limit: Let f (x) tends to a limit l1 as x tends to through values less than 'a', then l1 is known as left hand limit.

Right Hand Limit: Let f (x) tends to a limit l2 as x tends to 'a' through values greater than 'a', then l2 is known as right hand limit.

Limit of f (x) subsist at x = a, if l1 & l2 are both equal & finite.

The concept of limits leads to describe & define continuity & derivative of the function. The continuity of a function has theoretical importance as well as practical importance. Plot graphs by taking the values produced in the laboratory or collected in the field & connect the plotted points with a smooth and unbroken curve.

length x width

Let us learn about length x width

The length & width are 2 dimensions of a rectangle.

The formula to find the area of rectangle is length X width.

Find the area of the diagram whose length is ten cm & width is eight cm.

Given, the length & width of the figure is 10cm and 8cm.

To find the area of the rectangle (a rectangle is any quadrilateral with 4 right angles) the formula is length X width

= 10 X 8

=80cm2

Find the area of the diagram whose length is Fifteen cm and width is Thirteen cm.

Given, the length & width of the figure is 15cm & 13cm.

To find the area of the rectangle (a rectangle is any quadrilateral with 4 right angles )the formula is length X width

= 15 X 13

=195cm2

properties of addition

Let us learn about properties of addition

There are 4 mathematical properties which consist in addition. The properties are the associative, commutative, additive identity & distributive properties.

Addition role in math problems are very important in most of the problems. Addition is a arithmetic operations which can be done in many math formulas & in upper grade problems addition is continued. properties of addition is denoted by logic operator plus “+” When plus present between the numbers we have to add.

corresponding angles

Let us learn about corresponding angles

The corresponding angles created by the transversal are equal For example angle d and angle f are corresponding angles. and second pair of corresponding angles are (e and c), ( h and b) and (a and g). When two lines are crossed by another line the angles in matched corners are called corresponding angles.

Therefore we have: angle f = angle d

angle e = angle c

angle h = angle b

angel g = angle a

By this we can easily solve and study corresponding angles axiom problems.

In our next blog we shall learn about factorisation I hope the above explanation was useful.Keep reading and leave your comments.

Circumference of the circle

In our previous blog we learned about area of circles problems. Now let us learn about Circumference of the circle.

The distance around the circle is called the Circumference.

π is the ratio of circumference of the circle to the diameter. This relationship is expressed as

C/d = π, here C = circumference, d = diameter

There are two equivalent formulas for arriving to the circumference of a circle one using the diameter and the other using the radius of the circle. They are :

1. Circumference = π * d (d= diameter)

2. Circumference = 2 * π * r (r = radius)

The π value is usually taken as 3.14

solving circumference word problems

1. The diameter of a circle is 6 cm. What is the Circumference?

Solution:

Given, diameter = 6cm or radius = d/2 = 6/2 = 3cm

We have, Circumference = π * d (π=3.14)

= 3.14 * 6

= 18.84 cm Answer

OR

Circumference = 2 * π * r (π= 3.14)

= 2 *3.14 * 3

= 3.14 * 6

= 18.84 cm Answer

precalculus homework

Let us learn about precalculus and this article will help you to solve precalculus homework

precalculus, an front gathering of substitute edifice algebra, is a foundational mathematical develop. It is also titled Unveiling to Psychotherapy. In numerous schools, precalculus is actually two detached courses: Algebra and online trigonometry. Precalculus does not educate students for crust the aforesaid way as pre-algebra prepares students for Algebra I. While pre-algebra teaches students numerous assorted rudimentary algebra topics, precalculus does not affect rock, but explores topics that will be applied in incrustation. Both precalculus courses strength differ with others in damage of noesis. For representation, an honors raze course might spend much dimension on topics much as conical sections, vectors, and sort might focalise on topics victimized in a wider option of higher mathematical areas, much as matrices which are victimized in enterprise

online calculus is a outcome in maths convergent on limits, functions, derivatives, integrals, and limitless programme. This thing constitutes a outstanding endeavor of fashionable math breeding. It has two bailiwick branches, figuring tophus and integral concretion, which are kindred by the basic theorem of calculus. online calculus is the ruminate of happening, in the same way that geometry is the larn of modify and algebra is the contemplation of dealings and their effort of functions and limits, loosely called mathematical analysis. Encrustation has distributed applications in field, economics, and profession and can work many problems for which algebra incomparable is meager.

Associativity and commutativity

Welcome to online math tutoring,
Associativity and commutativity together imply that the order that addition is performed is irrelevant. An algebra satisfying only associativity is called a semigroup, while a semigroup that also satisfies commutativity is called a commutative semigroup or an Abelian semigroup.

When other axioms are added for zero and negation, then the algebra is called a group, examples given on online math forum; and when commutative, an Abelian group. Groups are some of the most important algebraic structures in modern mathematics. read more on math forum.

Geometry angles

Welcome to free math tutoring,
Euclid classifies rectilinear figures by their number of sides in this definition. Classifying them by their number of angles could lead to complications since an angle has to be less than two right angles, and a non-convex figure would have an internal angle greater than two right angles.

The modern English names, however, are based an the number of angles (except quadrilateral): triangle, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, etc. free math; From pentagon on up these names derive from the Greek, but they're rarely used past octagon. more examples on math forum.

Magnitude used in angle

Welcome to free online math tutoring,
As treated by Euclid, rectilinear angles are magnitudes that can be added together. When the sum of angles happens greater than two right angles, it is continued to be treated as a sum of angles rather than an individual angle. For instance, in proposition it is proved that the sum of the interior angles of a triangle equals two right angles.

Treating angles as magnitudes should not be confused with measuring angles. The angles themselves are the magnitudes. The only measurement of angles in the Elements is in terms of right angles (defined in the next definition). online math forum; Degree measurement and radian measurement were not used until later. In terms of degrees a right angle is 90°, while in terms of radians a right angle is pi/2 radians.

Throughout ancient Greek mathematics, only positive magnitudes were considered. Zero and negative magnitudes were not conceived. For the most part, a lack of zero and negative magnitudes complicates mathematics, but occasionally simplifies it. In any case, the power of a mathematics without zero and negative magnitudes is no less in the sense that any statement made using the language of zero or negative magnitudes can be translated into a statement that doesn't use them, although the translated statement may be longer and less understandable.

Line element

Welcome to math tutor online free,
"Line" is the second primitive term in the Elements. The description, "breadthless length," says that a line will have one dimension, length, but it won't have breadth or depth. In I.Def.5 a surface is defined with the two dimensions length and breadth, and in XI.Def.1 a solid is defined with the three dimensions length, breadth, and depth.
java applet or image

One cannot tell from this definition what kind of line is meant by "line," but later a "straight" line defined to be a special kind of line. One can conclude, then, that "lines" need not be straight. Perhaps "curve" would be a better translation than "line" since Euclid meant what is commonly called a curve in modern English, examples on free math; where a curve may or may not be straight.

Also, from the next definition, it is apparent that Euclid's lines may have ends, so they are "line segments" or "curve segments." But they need not have ends in all cases since the entire circumference of a circle is an example of a line. Indeed, lines need not be finite in all cases; there are a few instances in the Elements where a line is not bounded, and that is usually indicated by the language. more on math forum.

Euclidean and Hyperbolic Geometry

Welcome to free math help online,
There are some cases in which assuming different sets of axioms will
give you different bodies of mathematics, and that can be fun. For
example, this is the difference between Euclidean and Hyperbolic
geometry; one simple axiom about parallel lines is changed, and it has
huge effects on what the resulting body of mathematics looks like.

Statements of type (2) are pretty tough, but we'll crack 'em. :-)

Statements of type (3) are things that can make you question your
place in the universe. An Austrian mathematician named Kurt Godel
proved in 1931 that there must be statements of mathematics that
cannot be proved or disproved. examples on math helper; The somewhat
irritating thing is that
we don't know which statements these are. The main thing that
mathematicians get out of this is that the forest of mathematics is a
complicated one indeed, and we'll never completely know its landscape.

When does 3rd millenium start

Welcome to free online math tutoring,

I actually believe that's a better question for an anthropologist than
a mathematician. The word "millennium" simply means any period of 1000
years, though it's natural for us humans to want to start some
millennium at a known point in history and keep dividing the eons into
consecutive millennia thereafter.

Therefore, if we're going to talk about a "true" millennium, we should
probably fix some important event in the past and count forward 1000
and 2000 years. Supposedly, free math ; we've done this with the birth of Christ.
Seems simple enough - just count forward 2000 years from the nativity,
and pencil in a millennium celebration on the calendar. more explanation on math help online.

geometry help free

In this article you will get free help on tenth grade geometry. Generally geometry applications are mainly used for the everyday life for measuring area, perimeter and volume of the every object like building, land etc measurement are based on according to shape of the objects, object shapes are classified based on the dimension, there are three types of dimension such as one dimension, two dimension and three dimension, line is the best example for the one dimension objects. The following example problems will help for tenth grade geometry help free.

A wall is in the form of a parallelogram whose side length is 19m and breath is 23m. If you are painting the entire wall means, the cost of painting of the entire wall is $29 per square meter, calculate how much cost for painting (parallelogram shaped) wall.

Solution:

Here the side length of the wall is given as 19m and breath of the parallelogram shaped wall is 23m.

The shape of a wall is parallelogram we know that the area of a parallelogram formula it will be written as in below,

The area of a parallelogram is length x breath (online geometry help)

Plug those length and the breath values

Area= 19x23=437m2

Since the cost of painting of 1sq. meter parallelogram shaped wall is $29,

So the cost for painting (square shape) the entire wall is $29

= $12673.

exterior angles

Let us learn about exterior angles

Also for any polygon the total exterior angle will be 3600. Since it is a regular hexagon the exterior angle at every vertex equals 360/6 = 600.

The diagonals of the hexagon make 6 triangles inside the hexagon. The central angle of the hexagon is 3600. So the angle of each triangle will be= 360/6 = 600.

The diagonals act as angle bisectors at the vertex. So the interior angle of 120 degree is divided into two 60 degrees. So the triangles will have all the angles as 600. So all the triangles formed by the diagonals are equilateral triangles.

Math reference

Welcome to free math tutoring,

The biographies are an excellent way to keep a subject
interesting. I discovered in college that whenever I wanted to learn
about a new subject, I should start by reading a biography of the
person who came up with it. math helper; Sometimes that would be a whole book.
Sometimes it would be an encyclopedia article. And that method may not
work for you as well as it did for me, but I would suggest that you
give it a try.

(A good biography will do two things for you: first, it will place
whatever the subject did in context, letting you know why other people
thought it was important - why it let them do something they had
previously been prevented from doing. Second, it will expose you to
what more often than not turns out to be the clearest explanation of
the relevant concept - that is, the one that the innovator used to
explain it to himself.)

Learn about math

Welcome to free online tutoring math,
If you want to learn about math... well, there are so many good
books that I hesitate to recommend just one or two. Go to the math
section of a good bookstore and start browsing. Pick up a book that
looks interesting, open it to somewhere in the middle, and read a few
pages. See if the author seems to be on your wavelength. examples on math helper;
When he or she explains things to you, do they seem clear, or do you have to
struggle to understand what he or she is saying? If it isn't
connecting with you, put the book down and look at another one.

The good news is, I can guarantee you that there are a number of books
out there that, once you've found them, will seem to have been written
especially for you. The bad news is, you may have to kiss a lot of
frogs to find a prince. So kiss them quickly, and keep looking.
Hope the above explanation was useful, now let us learn about free math tutoring.

Math latter numbers

Welcome to online math tutoring,

This is kind of interesting! We give the latter numbers a name -
'prime' - and now we can start to think about what things are true of
these numbers: How many are there? How are they distributed? How
can we find them? examples on math helper; If someone gives me a really big number like
2194359484329019, how can I tell whether it's prime or not?

Now, here's the important point: All of this stuff is presented to
students as if it's always been known. But in fact, it was all
discovered by mathematicians playing around, making up questions and
then trying to answer them, and then sharing their answers with other
mathematicians who would use the answer to make up new questions, and
so on.

Math is F-U-N

Welcome to Math help online,

Here's the big secret that everyone is keeping from you: Math is
F-U-N. It's more fun than video games, more fun than sports, more fun
than just about anything you can think of... once you see it for what
it is, which is a huge, math help; international, cross-generational,
fantastically whimsical, collaborative game of "What if?" played by
people who get paid good salaries to do something they'd do anyway,
for free.

So the question is; why do we do this? It's possible that we're just
inept at figuring out how to teach things. (As someone once pointed
out, if we had to teach children to walk, they'd never learn!) On the
other hand, there might be a method to the madness. If _everyone_
learned to be good at math, then there would be more competition for
all those high-paying jobs. As it is, by making math seem much more
difficult than it is, we ensure that we'll always have a steady supply
of people to work at fast food restaurants, pick up the trash, turn
wrenches in factories, and so on. study more on math forum.
